The manuscript is coming together, painstakingly but such is the nature of editing, revising. Not much time for other projects but I’m still hoping to record an audiobook edition of my novel. So, a poem, from the forthcoming collection, to be re-named.<\/p>\n

MY WEEK<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fed a germ.
\nDog tottered.
\nSpooned flies out of yogurt.
\nDislodged ants from the toaster.
\nEntered words.
\nFought for blackberries
\nAnd free stuff.<\/p>\n

Doctored bites.
\nSigned language.
\nCollected greens,
\n(Heirloom tomatoes.)
\nParlanced a meme.
\nRegistered my feelings.<\/p>\n

The last house on HUSBAND RD
\nHas prolific bamboo d\u00e9cor.
\nYou can sit in a resin chair there,
\nThe white ones especially war-strong.
\nIt\u2019s too late in the week
\nTo do anything nice<\/p>\n

Or nicely.
\nToo late in our lifespans
\nFor anything,
\nThough he\u2019s still trying
\nTo Xerox his ass,
\nMoon earth.<\/p>\n
