Check it out! Here it be, our videopoem adaptation of Bushwhack<\/a>, the book I’ve collaborated on with visual artist Tina Schliessler<\/a>. Some images are colour, some are black and white. As I said, my old school punk rock cohort Chris Coon<\/a> and I composed the music and he scored Bushwhack<\/em> in the 11th hour. I don’t have it up here yet but you can watch it at YouTube in the meantime if you like, and I hope you do.<\/p>\n

BUSHWHACK<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lofty
\nmidrib splayed
\ndual cedar blades
\nsoar.<\/p>\n

Bare, pushing bare,
\nsinging Be,
\ncolumns stand,
\nbear heat, stings, ruptures
\nto make sound,
\nbring form to mound
\nand limbs.<\/p>\n

Lowering maven trembles.
\nHourly swells
\nrustle spores,
\nlife,
\ngalloping life.<\/p>\n

Heaven supporting pillar
\nin this below
\nregenerates,
\nunfurls
\nher hide.<\/p>\n

Slattern in the grove
\nwhisker in Eve,
\nflymphs and treasure within.<\/p>\n

Twisted sideways for the sake of light
\nshedding, blushing lost in cinnamon.<\/p>\n

Barmy birds eye pistachios,
\nfooled by flying V\u2019s Icarus molting.<\/p>\n

Sunlight mackled nub,
\npert tummy truncated mute,
\nspread legs spring ovules.<\/p>\n

Giraffe freckled legs,
\nwhistling monkey mouth
\nsashay past vivisection.<\/p>\n

Closely furrowed strut
\nhecklers scattered to the wind.
\nPower to divine.
\nHer brawn perpetual,
\nstance, a pledge.<\/p>\n

Persisting many seasons
\nin lace bark
\npeepers penetrate,
\nogle, wink.
\nSpy or witness?<\/p>\n

Coarsely fissured bole
\nmuscles in on a finite niche,
\ndamp, narrow, coastal fog belt.
\nHardy, assurgent,
\nfrontal as weather
\nprehensile Pan grasps
\nblundering larvae.
\nSpared by the hand fallers
\nfor his perceived charm,
\nmultifarious bush ape
\ntrounces rot.
\nFlourishes!<\/p>\n

Unfallen, unadorned
\nunashamed hydra,
\nfree of thorns, caprice.
\nPlenary femme sole
\nindulging in whorling,
\nforsaking heaven for nirvana.
\nBrandishing titties,
\nbudding insurgent
\nclaws Adamite armour,
\ngrips the root,
